The Chaz University is an institution providing open distance learning (ODL) and as a result, may not provide accommodation on site. However, the University shall negotiate affordable accommodation for students during the sessional dates.
The CU is in the heart of Lusaka in Olympia Township and well connected by paved road. The CU is close to the Central Business District and in proximity to the following shopping malls: Arcades, Fox dale, Manda Hill, and East Park Mall. Students can eat from these places or buy supplies for their own cooking. Transport to and from these malls is affordable and safe.
Although Lusaka is diverse and with a population of about 3 million people, it is friendly with many good social places. Lusaka’s economy is on the upside; expensive compared to other capital cities in the region.
Lusaka is littered with a lot of night clubs, Cinema theatres, live night music performances by household names. Students are advised to be careful about the places they venture into, those coming from outside Lusaka are advised to seek information on safety from the Dean of Students Office and advised to visit these places in teams for safety.
